Energy supply
As a hotel business, we have a special responsibility. That is why we do not use fossil fuels or energy supplies with high emissions.
Let the sun shine! Our solar system helps us to produce the electricity we need to keep our hotel glowing.
Our hotel is connected to the Binderholz biomass heating plant, which uses only natural wood fuels.
Here’s how it works: energy is delivered to us as hot water through a thermally insulated pipe network. In our transfer station, this hot water heats both our building and our domestic water supply. Once it has cooled, the water flows back to the heating plant — ready to be reheated and used again.
Other environmentally friendly measures
Too good to flush! Our drinking water is the best. That’s why we use groundwater to flush our toilets and water our garden.
We buy our food in bulk packaging and avoid PVC packaging as much as possible. Our focus on regional and seasonal food not only tastes good, but is also good for the environment.
Our air conditioning systems have the highest energy efficiency class. The system is geared towards renewable energies and energy-saving technologies. Thanks to the built-in inverter technology, the energy used adapts to the actual demand. As soon as the set temperature is reached, it is ensured that this temperature is maintained. Adjustments are only made when necessary. This means that energy consumption can be reduced by 30% compared to traditional on/off-systems.
We offer 10 charging stations for electric cars in our underground parking garage. Charging rates are based on the current daily rate (kWh).
We also drive electrically and are therefore CO2-neutral. We use our electric bus for all journeys. We pick up our guests from the train station, bring them back and take care of the ski shuttle in winter.
We rely on regional products for genuine taste, short distances and the highest quality. Because it simply tastes good, our kitchen herbs come from our own herb garden and our rooms are furnished with local woods.
Hotel linen consumes a lot of water and energy. To protect the environment, we only wash when it is necessary and desired: If towels are placed on the floor, they are replaced. Otherwise they can be reused. Thank you for helping us make a difference.
Rewards for rail travel
All guests who travel to us by train will receive a wellness voucher worth € 0.1 per kilometre per person. What does that mean in concrete terms? If you travel 500 km by train, we will thank you with a SPA voucher worth € 50.00 per person.
In addition, we offer all our guests free pick-up service from Jenbach and Fügen train stations.

Traveling by electric car? Perfect! You are not only doing something good for the environment, you’ve come to the right place. Sustainability matters to us. You can charge your car conveniently (for a fee) at one of ten e-charging stations in our underground garage.
